Bremen Netzresidenz (UNESCO City of Literature)
virtual residency 2025
To promote literature in digital media, the Bremer Literaturhaus [virt.] eV association, with the support of the Senator for Culture, awards the Bremer Netzresidenz every two years as a three-month online scholarship in the virtual Literaturhaus Bremen. The scholarship is endowed with a one-off amount of €2,500. An independent jury decides on the award. The virtual stay in the Literaturhaus Bremen begins on March 1st and ends on May 31st, 2025. As part of the scholarship, the award winner sets up their own project website. The scholarship holder is then invited to present their project at an event as part of a literature festival in Bremen.
Authors who can already point to publications with publishers are supported. The creative and critical engagement with current digital media is the focus of the work scholarship. Value is placed on the use of innovative literary and artistic methods. Digital literature projects that focus on a cosmopolitan literary exchange are supported. Authors from the UNESCO Cities of Literature are therefore particularly encouraged to apply with a project idea. Applicants should submit a short project outline (max. 1 DIN A4 page) that convincingly presents the idea and the concrete implementation of the literary network project. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. Please send a short CV to heike.mueller(at)literaturhaus-bremen.de .
