Krowji Tehidy Creative Residency Programme

Call out to creative practitioners across Cornwall and beyond!

We, as part of charity group Creative Kernow, have partnered with Cornwall Council to offer up to four creative residencies at Tehidy Country Park starting in October 2024.

Application deadline: 6^th September 2024

First residency start date: 1^st October 2024

Key details:

Each residency will be up to three months with accommodation included free of charge in the newly renovated cottage
The aim of these residences is to increase public engagement with Tehidy Country Park
Applicants are required to have experience in engaging a wide range of audiences with locations or venues
We are seeking applications from those who explore the natural world in their creative practice and are interested in sharing their passion with others
The creative programme does not pay for the outputs, but provides a space and setting for you to progress and showcase your work for free

Eligibility

Any artist can apply for a maximum of one residency per year.

Our definition of artist is in the broad sense of anyone creating a creative output, for instance including:

Painting, Sculpture – (we have outdoor space for materials such as stone, metal, wood etc.) Advertising and arketing, Architecture, Crafts, Culture & Heritage, Design: product, graphic and fashion Film, TV, video, radio and photography, IT, software and computer services, Experiential and immersive creative outputs

Publishing, Music, performing arts, Visual arts, Photography, Written and/or spoken word, Performance, On-line creative outputs, Multi-media creative outputs

This list is not exhaustive, and we encourage anyone with a proposal that they consider to be relevant to apply.

Whilst on the Creative Residency the artist will be self-employed and will need to demonstrate appropriate insurances and risk assessments as part of the application process (A template risk assessment will be made available).

We will require proof of your permanent residential address.
