PigPrints invites printmakers working in intaglio and relief techniques to submit their work for its Summer/Fall 2024 Residency Fellowship.
The purpose of this fellowship is to give an artist the possibility of spending a 2-week residency period in Milan to produce work in our printshop, while also having the opportunity to take time to enjoy the city’s rich culture.
The selected artist will be awarded a full-funded two-week fellowship for a residency to take place between June and December 2024. The dates will be determined by the artist and PigPrints upon the studio availability.
The awarded artist will be accommodated in the cozy PigPrints apartment with kitchen and have the use of the print workshop 24/7. Travel and meal costs are not included but the artist will receive a stipend of € 500 to help cover these costs.
While creating personal work, during their stay, the artist will be asked to produce a small edition in collaboration with PigPrints, which will be shared. All costs for this edition (plates, inks paper, etc) will be covered by PigPrints. The artist will also be asked to donate to the studio a few artist proofs of the work done during the residency time.
