Short Description

The Shadowing Program, part of the Culture and Health Platform, offers two European visual artists a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in a hands-on artistic and social experience that connects art with community well-being. Hosted by Oltre Association in Bologna, this shadowing residency combines artistic production, participatory workshops, and intercultural exchange in preparation for the 14th edition of the International Soup Festival, scheduled for May 17–18, 2025

Eligibility

Visual artists from the EU (painting, illustration, screen printing, collage, textile, mixed media, street art, etc.)

Submission Requirements

● Your full name
● A motivation letter (max 2000 explaining your interest in the program and how it aligns with your artistic and professional path
● A portfolio (PDF or link) with relevant artistic and community-based work

Program Benefits & Awards

  • Free lodging at Camere d’Aria (shared dormitories with common kitchen and workspaces).
  • Free participation in communal meals (three meals per day)
  • Up to 250 EUR (for travel up to 500 km)
  • Up to 450 EUR (for travel over 500 km)
  • Green mobility top-up (over 600 km): 350 EUR
  • Island top-up: 50 EUR
  • Family top-up: 100 EUR (for those with caregiving needs)
