Artsin Square is thrilled to announce an open call for a photography book titled “5X7” featuring a book size of 5 inches by 7 inches (12.7 x 17.8 cm).

We are dedicated to providing visibility and publishing opportunities to the art community through our platform and magazines. We understand the importance of printed photography, transforming digital images into tangible, physical objects in the real world and connect with curators, and engage with leaders who shape the photography world. Therefore, we are passionately committed to creating this photography book, which adheres to the traditional and standard photo printing size, and is dedicated to promoting photography printing culture and documentation.
Project Requirements
- Artists may submit up to 10 individual works.
- Artwork images must be uploaded directly to the form.
- Artists must ensure high-quality images, ideally at 300 dpi in JPEG format and not exceeding 10 MB in file size.
- There is no specific theme for this book.
- Artists can submit previously published artwork.
- Artists are encouraged to provide a bio and statement with 400 words limit (optional).
Eligibility
- Visual artists aged 18 and above from any country are eligible to submit their work.
- Artists are encouraged to apply with works in any genre of photography and in all styles.
- Both individual artists and art organizations representing artists from any country are welcome to submit.
Submission Fee
Submission fee is $25 for 3 images (non-refundable).
Important Dates:
Submission Deadline: July 15th, 2024, 11:59 pm EST.
- Notification of Selection: End of July 2024. Selected artists will receive further information at that time.
- Opportunity for Edits: Selected artists will have the chance to review and make edits to their spread before printing.
- Selected artists will receive a complimentary digital edition of the publication.
Selection Process
All selected artists will receive two-page spread in the book, an online blog feature, and a social media post. Selected works will be included in the print photobook available by September 2024 and will be available for online purchase on our website, with worldwide shipping. The book will also be distributed to bookstores and galleries worldwide (specific locations will be mentioned after printing). Artists will have the opportunity to review and edit their spread before printing. Additionally, all featured artists will receive a complimentary digital edition of the photobook.
Notification of Selection: End of July 2024. Selected artists will receive further information at that time.
