Laundromat Art Space welcomes artists to cultivate innovative concepts and projects by providing a solo exhibition open call. The accepted proposal will have the opportunity to utilize our 1,500 sq ft gallery as an exhibition space. We encourage all artists to submit. Our mission is to connect artists to a broader audience and introduce them to the local art scene. We welcome proposals that present a strong curatorial vision, engage the public, and bring a fresh perspective.
Application Deadline:
- August 5, 2024 (11:59PM EST)
Submission Fee:
- Early bird: $10 June 20—July 1 (Pay here)
- $15 July 2—24
- $20 July 25 and after
Exhibition Dates:
- September 14—October 13, 2024
- Opening reception September 14, 2024
- Installation September 9—13, 2024
- De-install October 14,15, 2024
Guidelines:
- Proposals must include work by one artist.
- Curators are eligible to apply with one artist (hence they’re curating a solo exhibition).
- Artists living outside of Miami are welcome to apply, but LAS is not responsible for transportation or shipping costs.
- If the artists wishes to sell artwork, the split is 50/50
Selection Process:
- Proposals will be reviewed by a committee consisting of five arts professionals.
- Notification date August 12, 2024
