The Chautauqua Visual Arts Residency (CVA) is a two-week immersive program (August 9–24, 2025) designed for artists seeking dedicated studio time, professional development, and gallery exposure. The residency includes individual studio spaces, mentorship from industry professionals, and a public exhibition at the end of the program. Artists also gain access to Chautauqua Institution’s cultural events, concerts, and lectures, fostering a dynamic creative environment.

How to Apply:

Applicants must submit the following materials:

  1. 10 images of work (all media accepted, video submissions must be under five minutes each).
  2. Work descriptions (title, media, dimensions, year created).
  3. Statement of interest detailing goals for the residency.
  4. Artist statement explaining artistic practice.
  5. Current CV (PDF format).
  6. $35 application fee.
