BRIC has been a cornerstone of Brooklyn’s cultural scene for over 40 years, supporting artists, creators, students, and media makers while uplifting diverse voices. The organization is dedicated to building Brooklyn’s creative future through inclusive, community-driven programs.

BRIClab Contemporary Art is an interdisciplinary residency for emerging and early-career artists, offering studio space, professional development, and peer support to help artists grow their practice. Through an open call, 5 artists will be selected for the 2025–26 cohort, gaining access to resources, mentorship, and opportunities to share their work.

🌍Eligibility:

  • Who can apply:

    • Emerging/early-career artists, collectives, or collaboratives
    • New York City residents, aged 18+
    • Eager to expand their practice, engage with the cohort, and share work publicly
  • Who can’t apply:

    • Students enrolled in a degree program during the residency
    • Previous BRIClab or BRICworkspace residents
