Short Description
The Spellman Art Gallery is located in the John Spellman Library at Grays Harbor College and is open to
the public during all library hours. The gallery space features ~150’ linear feet of wall space for two
dimensional art, as well as several cases to display three-dimensional pieces. Questions about the
physical space can be directed to Haley McGraw at haley.mcgraw@ghc.edu. Artists are responsible for
delivery and shipping costs. The gallery and the college are not insured or responsible for the loss or
damage of art in the gallery.
Eligibility
This exhibition slot will primarily focus on Pacific Northwest artists and curators. Artists from
Washington and Oregon will be given priority in exhibition selection by committee. Artists must be 18
years or older and artworks must not have been exhibited in the Spellman Art Gallery previously. Note
that art must be delivered, installed, and removed on and by the deadlines listed below to ensure the
gallery can transition smoothly. Please ensure you are able to fulfill this obligation. Grays Harbor College
cannot pay for shipping or delivery costs.
Submission Requirements
Artist statement and description of proposed exhibition, up to 500 words
Images (3-5) of sample artwork for the exhibition
Proposed list of artworks with identifying information as applicable (title, artist, dimensions, medium, creation date, etc.) in a spreadsheet or table
Resume
Link to artist websites or pay pages for patrons to access and purchase art

All proposal materials should be emailed together to artgallery@ghc.edu by the deadline.
Sales
Spellman Art Gallery and Grays Harbor College will not take a commission off of the sale of your art. The
gallery managers will help facilitate sale of art opening night and throughout the exhibition between
patrons and artists; Grays Harbor College cannot facilitate sale via credit or debit car. It is helpful for
artists to have a link where patrons may purchase their art.
Web Release
Submission of this proposal is taken as consent for GHC Marketing to use images of the artworks and
exhibition to market for the Spellman Art Gallery.
