Short Description
The Engraving and Printed Image Prize has been organized since 1989 thanks to the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation – Visual Arts Department. Its aim is to encourage the practice of printmaking and printed art in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation and to provide genuine visibility to artists practicing this discipline. All traditional printing techniques, as well as those using new technologies, are accepted. Each year, a pre-jury selects the works presented in the exhibition.
Eligibility
- All traditional printmaking techniques as well as those using new technologies are accepted.
The artistic form of the works is open (print, book, collage, installation, etc.). - This text should allow understanding of the artistic approach and the technical process (maximum 2,000 characters).
- The works must have been produced within the three years preceding this edition.
- Any plagiarism will be punished by a ban, which may include reimbursement of the prize money.
- They may be framed or not, but the museum does not provide framing for the exhibition.

Program Benefits & Awards
Each year, a pre-jury makes a selection of the works presented in the exhibition. Then, a mainly external jury made up of well-known personalities from the sector meets to award the prize of €2500. Exceptionally, honourable mentions may also be awarded.
