Short Description
InterAccess is seeking an artist-in-residence to develop work with our in-house immersive projection system, the IA 360°. Working with the guidance and support of InterAccess’s staff, technicians, and community, the selected artist will develop site-specific artwork to be displayed in an exhibition showcase at the end of the residency.

- The artist-in-residence must be available for full-time hours with flexible scheduling, with increased on-site work toward the end of the residency.
- Some familiarity with immersive systems or projection is encouraged.
- While not required, given the timeframe of the residency, we strongly encourage proposals that develop existing artworks, projects, or research within the immersive system.
- Only individual artists may apply; due to funding restrictions, we are unable to work with duos or collectives.
- Applicants must:
- be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the residency.
- be legally entitled to work in Canada (either a citizen, permanent resident or person with refugee status – work permits are not eligible)
- self-identify as underemployed (i.e. employed below their level of education, holding part-time employment, or in emerging fields with few jobs)

- have no immediate family relationship with InterAccess
