Americana is an exhibition depicting the objects, people, places, history, and folklore of the United States of America. The idea of Americana is subjective and often influenced by nostalgia or stereotypes of American culture. The ethos or guiding beliefs and ideals which have come to represent America, such as freedom and The American Dream, are central to the concept. For better or worse, from amber waves of grain, an apple pie, baseball, cars, drugs, football, guns, and purple mountains’ majesty, how does your work portray the melting pot of a paradox known as the United States of America?

Americana is an international juried group exhibition open to photographers ages 18 years and older. All black and white, color, conventional, non-traditional photographic, and digital post-production processes are welcome for submission.

Submission Deadline: March 15th, 2023
Juror Notifications: March 25th, 2023
Format: Online Exhibition
Exhibition: April 1st, 2023 – May 1st, 2023

Terms of Entry

Americana is open to international photographers ages 18 years and older.
All entrants, by virtue of their submission, are attesting that the images submitted are their own work and there has been no copyright infringement of any artist, living or deceased.
All submissions must be original and completed by the artist’s hand. If work is part of a limited edition, please state total number in the edition.
There is a non-refundable $20 entry fee used to support administrative costs, advertising, promotional materials, and scheduled programming. TCG has a limited number of free entries for artists experiencing financial hardships. Contact us for more information.
Curator’s Choice, Directors Choice, and Honorable Mentions will be selected.

Sales and Copyright

Artists will retain 65% from sales. TCG will retain 35% commission on any work sold through TCG and its agents. TCG pays Sales and Use Tax on all transactions. Artists will be responsible for fulfillment of sales and any additional costs.
TCG retains the right to edit or omit artist statements and biographies for clarity and length if work is featured on social media.
Work previously exhibited at TCG is not eligible for re-entry.
Online exhibitions may feature artwork Not for Sale (NFS). However, participants are highly encouraged to price their work.
By submitting your work, you grant the gallery a limited license to use your images for promotional materials and/or inclusion in our online gallery and social media accounts. The artist retains all rights to their work at all times and will receive attribution whenever possible.

You may submit up to (3) images per entry.
There is no size limit for an online exhibition.
Files must be under (5) MB in size. JPEG format preferred.
Please name your images in the following format: title–01.jpg.
Please include the printed size of your work (inches or centimeters) in the dimensions field.
Video submissions are accepted. If submitting a video, upload (1) to (3) still frames and include a Vimeo or YouTube link in the description.
