Artists+Causes: Showcase & Art Sale

Artists+Causes is hosting their 2nd Annual Peace Love Art: Showcase & Art Sale & are having a Call for Artists until June 15th.

We invite you to tag your favorite artist(s) below or submit your own artwork. 

Participating foundations have chosen a theme in their call for artists. When applying, you’ll select the theme & charity that relates to you and your artwork the most! Check out our instagram or website to see all themes & examples. 

The online Art Sale will be held July 9th-14th. Proceeds will benefit both the artist & charity. Artist applications can be found at www.artistsandcauses.com or visit @artistsandcauses on Instagram for more information.

Deadline: 15. June 2023

  • Assurances and Terms*Design Guidelines:
    Artists are welcomed to submit any preexisting artwork or intended artwork designs for the event, with a minimum of (1) piece per artist. Pieces submitted for the event will be exclusively available to be sold during Peace Love Art: Showcase & Art Sale from July 9th-14th.
  • *Rights/Entitlements:
    By submitting your application, you confirm that:
    – You are the original creator of your design.
    – You have not copied anyone else’s original work.
    – Your design does not infringe on anyone else’s intellectual property rights (for example, trademark, copyrights, trade dress, design patent).
    – To the extent anyone else has contributed to your design, you shall obtain a signed, written agreement from that person assigning all of their rights in their contribution to you.
  • As part of the application process, you must sign the “Exclusive Right to Sell Agreement” that accompanies this document. By digitally signing & dating, you are indicating your understanding that you are assigning the selling rights and publication rights of your design to Arts+Causes, for the duration of this signed document until July 14th (conclusion of the event).
  • If your Art Piece is approved for the online art sale, Arts+Causes will own the exclusive right to sell the submitted piece(s) for the duration of the event. You will be acknowledged as the artist in appropriate publications. However, the copyrights to publicize your design or reprint your design in books and marketing material, will be owned by A+C until July 14th. If your design is not approved or selected for Showcase, A+C shall assign the entire publication rights of your pieces back to you.
  • *Sold Items & Fulfillment Process:
    Arts+Causes will not hold any artwork during the online sale. A+C will be responsible for invoicing and collecting all funds paid by buyers prior to the artist shipping their work to the customer. Buyers will be responsible for local pickup or shipping costs. Local pick up will be arranged between the artist and the buyer. However, shipping costs will be agreed-upon prior to the event and included in the sale price upfront. Artist will not fulfill any sale/shipment until Artist receives email confirmation from A+C that the item has been paid for by the buyer. Artists’ share of funds will be distributed within one week of the delivery of the artwork to the buyer via PayPal.
  • *EXCLUSIVE RIGHT TO SELL AGREEMENT:
    The following constitutes the entire agreement with respect to the sale by A+C Foundation of paintings, sculptures, drawings, graphics, paintings, jewelry, textiles or other works of art created by [Artist’s full name below] (“Artist”) for Peace Love Art: Showcase & Art Sale (“Project”).
  • 1. For a period ending on July 14th 2023 and commencing on the date of this agreement, A+C shall have the exclusive right, in any part of the world, to offer for sale and to authorize others to offer for sale, all participating items of art works created and owned by Artist that are submitted to the Project. Artists will retain physical possession of all participating artwork until it is sold and delivered to the buyer.
  • 2. During the period of the project (Date of Submitted Agreement until July 14th 2023), A+C shall have the exclusive right to arrange, and to authorize others to arrange, for the publication and/or sale, in any part of the world, of books and catalogues containing illustrated reproductions of the art work of Artist.
  • 3. During the period of the project (Date of Submitted Agreement until July 14th 2023), A+C shall arrange for an Online Showcase & Art Sale of Artist’s works. A+C shall be responsible for all of the expenses of such exhibitions, including advertising and catalogue costs.
  • 4. The parties acknowledge that Artist has furnished to A+C photographs of each item of Artist’s participating works by Artist on the date of this agreement. The price at which A+C shall offer each such item for sale shall not be less than the price mutually agreed upon between A+C and Artist. The parties shall jointly determine the sales price to be charged as to those art works to be created by the Artist during the term of this agreement.
  • 5. Upon sale of any of the works covered by this agreement, Artists are responsible for carefully packing and shipping sold pieces to said Buyer with tracking/delivery confirmation. A+C (the related charities selected by the artist) shall retain 50 percent of the proceeds to support their charitable work, with the other 50 percent to the Artist.
  • 6. This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida and shall be binding upon and inure to the benefit of the respective executors, administrators, successors and assigns of the parties.
