Eaxo Residency in Greece

Eaxo provides a space for artists to explore, create, and collaborate in the scenic and historical surroundings of Crete. You can apply for a stay at Eaxo if you are an artist with a creative education or if you work professionally with your artistic practice. Throughout your residency, you will have the autonomy to work solo, yet the structure at Eaxo encourages opportunities for collaboration and professional interaction among residents.

The cost is 255 euros per week for the stay. Some accommodations are complementary.

We prioritize diverse representation across artistic mediums as well as artists’ backgrounds to facilitate international collaborations.

Eaxo has two seasons annually. From March to June and from September to November. The price for an artist’s residency is 255 euros per week for the stay. At Eaxo, you are provided with a workspace and accommodation throughout the stay. During the stay, food and materials are not included. But we can help you order materials ahead of your visit.

You will stay in your own private room with shared bathrooms and kitchen.

About:

At Eaxo, we have transformed a former gas station into an artist-in-residence.  Eaxo is located on Crete, Greece, 500 meters from the sea and mountains, 14 km from the city of Chania, and 8 km from Chania Airport. 

Eaxo is a creative space where artists can immerse themselves in their artistic practices  and simultaneously be a part of an inspiring community. Eaxo can host up to 6 professional artists at a time.

We are happy to invite international and local visual artists, performance artists, photographers, musicians, designers, writers, and curators to apply for the residence. 

At Eaxo, the artist is provided with a workspace and accommodation throughout their stay.

Eaxo has two yearly seasons, from March to June and from September to November.
