Pulp: international exhibition celebrating paper

MAKE Southwest, in partnership with GF Smith and Paper Artist Collective, is inviting applications to be part of this exciting exhibition which aims to show the huge variety of applications and techniques in use across the world of contemporary paper, including the use of paper and card in design, and paper art.

Callout for applications, deadline 1 June 2023 

This exhibition aims to show the huge variety of applications and techniques in use across the world of contemporary paper making, including the use of paper and card in design, and paper art. With works varying in scale from miniature to vast, using paper and card in all its states, and showcasing its amazing variety of qualities. 

We would like to hear from any artists, makers or designers working with paper or card in any form who is interested in being considered for this exhibition.  
 
There is no submission fee, and if selected we are happy to contribute to shipping costs.  
Our commission rate is 50% – We do not charge commission on framing. 

We are looking for artists, makers and designers who:
o Are using or incorporating paper or card in a traditional, skilled or innovative way.
o Produce innovative, imaginative work coupled with a sensitive use of appropriate
materials;
o Show the highest standards of workmanship and design;
o Are aware of their environmental impact and can demonstrate a response to this;
o Show a clear sense of personal direction.
