THE PHMUSEUM 2024 PHOTOGRAPHY GRANT IS NOW OPEN FOR SUBMISSIONS
From today you can present your projects to the open call 12th edition that offers €10,000 in cash prizes to support photographers and recognise the importance of visual storytelling. Beyond the monetary prizes, your work will be considered for opportunities to exhibit, get feedback and exposure.

Three applicants will be granted the opportunity to exhibit their work thanks to our collaboration with leading photography institutions. For the 6th consecutive year, the team of PhEST ( IT) will select a project among all the submissions to be showcased at the 2024 edition of the festival. For the 5th time in a row, another work will be exhibited at Getxophoto Festival (ES), selected by the Artistic Director Maria Ptqk for the main program of the Basque festival 2024 edition. In addition to the show production, the winner will receive an artist fee of €400 and accommodation for 2 nights during the Opening Week. Moreover, a third artist will exhibit at PhMuseum Lab (IT) in January 2025 during Arte Fiera, the oldest art fair in Italy.

The work of the finalists (up to 40) will be screened at PhMuseum Days (IT) and other festivals to be announced. Six applicants will have their work reviewed by a mentor from PhMuseum Education. Prize recipients, honourable mention awardees, and selected submissions will be promoted on our channels.

The theme is open and all photographic approaches are welcomed. All entries will be reviewed by an independent jury comprised of David Campany (Curator and Writer), Penelope Umbrico (Visual Artist), Lebohang Kganye (Visual Artist and Photographer) and Kensuke Koike (Visual Artist). The review will happen in March with the shortlist to be announced in early April.
