12AWARDS International Photography Competition – Annual Open Call for Photographers Worldwide
The 12AWARDS International Photography Competition is a global open call inviting photographers to submit work across a curated set of 12 thematic categories. The competition is designed to explore photography as a temporal and cultural medium, positioning “time” as a central conceptual framework through which visual narratives are constructed and interpreted.
Participants are encouraged to submit works that reflect artistic, documentary, conceptual, or experimental approaches to photography. Submissions may be newly created or previously produced, including works from any time period. The competition explicitly welcomes both traditional photographic processes and contemporary AI-assisted or hybrid image-making workflows, provided that ethical, legal, and authorship requirements are met.
The program culminates in multiple levels of recognition, including an overall Photographer of the Year title, category-based awards, and highly commended distinctions. Selected works are showcased through digital exhibitions, international publications, and curated promotional channels, ensuring broad visibility within the global photography community.
