Short Description
The AICA Prize for Young Art Criticism supports innovative, experimental, and critical writing about art. It aims to make contemporary art criticism more visible and encourage new forms of critical thinking and writing that challenge conventional approaches.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be up to 35 years old.
- Must reside in Germany.
- Must have already published art-critical texts.
Requirements
- Submit three text samples, each between 6,000 and 8,000 characters (including spaces).
- Texts must have been previously published — include details of where and when they appeared.
- Texts can be in German or English, but at least two must be in German.
- Include a CV (curriculum vitae).
Fees & Grant
- Total grant: €12,000.
- Paid as a monthly stipend of €1,000 for 12 months.
- Funded by the Alfried Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach Foundation.
- No application fee.
