AIV-Schinkel-Wettbewerb 2026 – Visionary Model District for Luckenwalde
Description: The competition focuses on the city of Luckenwalde, a city south of Berlin with a rich industrial history and modernist architecture, currently undergoing structural changes. Participants are tasked with developing a visionary model district within the inner-city “Karree” area, integrating vacant sites, former industrial zones, and residential areas. The goal is to create proposals that stimulate economic growth, social cohesion, innovative urban climate solutions, mobility, and new aesthetic qualities. Interdisciplinary collaboration is encouraged to address challenges in urban planning, architecture, landscape architecture, civil engineering, and mobility.
