Founded in 2013, analogueNOW is a Berlin-based nonprofit dedicated to analog photography. This year’s group exhibition, titled “Under the Rug,” invites artists to explore hidden, overlooked, or suppressed elements of society, history, or personal experience. The theme encourages submissions that dig beneath the surface, revealing concealed narratives — whether intimate, documentary, or experimental.

Works must incorporate at least one analog technique (e.g., film photography, darkroom processes).

Eligibility:

  • Open to international artists and photographers
  • Must work with analog or hybrid photography methods

 

Submission Requirements:

  • Images: Up to 15 JPEGs (1600 px on the longest side)
    • File names: lastname-01.jpg, lastname-02.jpg, etc.
  • PDF Document:
    • Full name, location, email, website/Instagram
    • Short bio (up to 50 words)
    • Artist statement about the submitted work (up to 150 words)
  • Submission method: Send all files via WeTransfer to: opencall@analoguenow.com

 

Application Fee & Payment:

  • Standard fee: €12
  • Early bird fee: €7 (if submitted by Feb 3, 2025)
  • Payment via PayPal (through their website) — fees are used to finance artists’ participation

 

Selection Process:

  • Notification: Selected artists will be notified by April 9, 2025
  • The chosen works will be exhibited at Fotogalerie Friedrichshain
