The Arp Museum Bahnhof Rolandseck, located in Remagen, Germany, is a public-law foundation dedicated to preserving and presenting the works of the artist couple Sophie Taeuber-Arp and Hans Arp. The museum hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary artists while also showcasing paintings and sculptures from the Rau Collection, spanning from the Middle Ages to modern times. Title & Description:

Scientific Volontariat (Research Fellowship) 2026 offers a two-year, full-time research and curatorial fellowship designed for graduates in art history or related fields. The program immerses the fellow in all aspects of museum operations, including exhibitions, collections management, public programs, and digital strategies. Participants will gain in-depth experience working with modern and contemporary art while contributing to the museum’s mission of education, preservation, and public engagement.

The Role Overview:
The fellowship provides a comprehensive learning experience in museum work, blending practical tasks with academic research. Fellows are embedded in the museum’s daily operations, supporting exhibitions, events, and administrative processes, while developing expertise in modern and contemporary art.
