We are now open for submissions for the 5th edition of the BCN-DH photography competition, the Barcelona International Photography Festival on Human Rights and Global Justice.

Mas Retina is launching this initiative to seek out, recognize, and promote the best photography projects on human rights and global justice.

Using photography as a tool for social justice, the competition aims to offer a perspective on global problems and their root causes. Our goal is to generate spaces for reflection and information that encourage critical citizenship, capable of participating in current debates.

Project submissions must be made exclusively through the  PICTER platform , where you must register in advance. You can submit more than one project if you wish.

The contest has a registration fee of 5 euros, which must be paid upon uploading the photographs.

Eligibility:

Photographers, both professional and amateur, of legal age and of any nationality, are eligible to participate.

Program Benefits or Awards:

The ten projects selected by the jury will be exhibited from December 1, 2025, to January 10, 2026, during the festival on the streets of Barcelona and will be included in the 2025 edition’s catalog.

The best of the ten projects will receive a prize of 3,000 euros.

There are three other prizes of 400 euros each for the best works in the categories included in the competition.

 Entry Fee:

The submission fee is €5. Each entry must include 15 digital images.

Submissions must be made exclusively via the Picter platform, and prior registration is required.
