Short Description:
Elisa Jensen will be the juror for Bowery Gallery’s 34th annual juried competition. The opening reception will be held 5-8pm on Thursday, August 7.
Over its 56-year history, exhibitions at Bowery Gallery have been reviewed in The New York Times, The New York Sun, The New Republic, Art in America and many other publications.
Exhibition Dates: August 5-23, 2025
Opening Reception: Thursday, Aug 7, 5PM – 8 PM
Eligible two-dimensional media include painting, drawing, printmaking, pastel and mixed media. Sculpture, photography and digital art are not eligible. Work may not exceed 36” in height or width, not including frame. Bowery accepts applications from outside the U.S.
SALES: All work will be for sale unless the artist informs the gallery to the contrary. All proceeds from sales will go to the artist.
Application Requirements:
Work will be juried from images submitted only through the gallery’s online submission form. Images must be JPGs with minimum width/height of 1000px, maximum size 3MB. Please do not use spaces or special characters (such as @/!”)(:#;%&$) in image file names. An embedded color profile is recommended for accurate color.

Selected works will be installed in the gallery’s exhibition space in Chelsea, NYC.
Entry Fee:
$35.00 entry fee allows each artist to submit 1-3 images. Additional images may be submitted for an extra $6.00 per image. Maximum submission: 6 images. Entry fees are paid through the entry form’s Paypal link, which accepts credit cards.
