Short Description:
CAPITÃO invites four artists to Alentejo for a residency shaped by time, care, and conversation. It’s a space to pause, to think deeply, and to share generously.
All materials and transportation are the responsibility of the artist. However, our team is happy to support you with logistics. We can provide guidance on how to bring materials to Alentejo and, if helpful, assist with purchasing materials locally in Portugal — so you won’t need to transport everything from afar.
Lastly, CAPITÃO is as much about people as it is about practice. We’re eager to get a sense of who you are — your curiosity, your values, your way of being in the world. This residency is shaped by connection, so we welcome applications that let their personality come through.
