Title & Description

Casa Lü Parque Residency: International Open Call for Visual Artists in Mexico City

This program is a structured yet flexible Residency designed for artists seeking time for Research, Production, and critical reflection. The experience is centered on accompaniment rather than strict curatorial direction, allowing artists to maintain full control over their creative processes. Participants engage in a rigorous schedule of Museum visits, gallery tours, and feedback sessions, culminating in a public group Exhibition with professional documentation.

The program offers Standard (33 days) and Extended (40 days) sessions. It is a Self Fund model with available Scholarship pathways. The residency is conducted in English and brings together a small, international cohort of five to six artists.

  • Residents are expected to engage in a "Daily Rhythm" that balances independent Studio work with organized activities.
  • Tasks include participating in weekly staff meetings, attending Artist Talk sessions with local practitioners, and contributing to the final group Exhibition.
  • While there is no requirement to produce a finished work, artists are encouraged to take risks and experiment with Site-specific ideas inspired by the urban context of Mexico City.
