Organizer Information
Founded in 2010 by Vasi Hirdo, Ceramics Now is a leading art publication dedicated to contemporary ceramics, read by over 70,000 people monthly. Ceramics Now has been a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (AIC-IAC) since 2023. In 2024, the organization relaunched Ceramics Now Magazine, an ad-free journal offering in-depth articles, artist profiles, news, and exhibition highlights, published in a collectible, premium format, alongside its long-running newsletter, Ceramics Now Weekly. Within this context, Ceramics Now is launching a new annual editorial project, Ceramics Now Annual, building on a 2025 open call that drew more than 950 applications.

Ceramics Now Annual 2026 — Open Call for Featured Artists
To mark 16 years of Ceramics Now, the publication is inviting ceramic artists worldwide to be part of the inaugural edition of Ceramics Now Annual, a new flagship publication designed to discover and spotlight new artists, ideas, and perspectives shaping contemporary ceramics. Published in both print and digital editions at the end of 2026, the Annual will feature at least 20 artists selected through this international open call and is intended to continue as a yearly editorial project. The digital edition will be freely accessible, giving selected artists broad international visibility. The open call follows the format and success of Ceramics Now's 2025 15-Year Anniversary Edition open call.

Eligibility
- Open to all artists working with ceramics worldwide
- Works submitted must have been made between 2023 and 2026
- Submitted works must consist of at least 60% ceramic material

Application Fee
$15 (non-refundable) submission fee, described by the organizer as supporting the selection process and production of Ceramics Now Annual. No additional publication fees apply if selected.
