Short Description
The CINEMAMED – Brussels Mediterranean Film Festival is launching a major competition to select the photograph that will be used in the official communication of its 25the edition. This competition is open to all, professional photographers or not, wishing to bring their vision of Mediterranean culture through an authentic image.
Eligibility
We are looking for a photograph that captures a moment of life in the Mediterranean, that reflects its diversity and cultural richness. The image must be authentic: a rendering that is too smooth or stereotyped will not be retained. The aim is to illustrate the soul of the Mediterranean, not to promote it as a tourist destination.
To ensure the relevance of the visual, the following types of photos will not be accepted:
- Classic tourist landscapes (paradisiacal beaches, hotels, family, selfies, etc.).
- Overly retouched or artificial images that do not reflect the desired authenticity.
- Photographs with integrated logos, texts or watermarks.
- Portraits that are too posed or excessively staged.
- Photos containing offensive or inappropriate material.

Program Benefits & Awards
If your image is selected, it will be widely distributed:
- Posters throughout the Brussels-Capital Region,
- Advertising on various media,
- Press and online publications.
The winner will also receive:
- A prize of €500,
- Two passes for the festival,
- Invitations to the special evenings of the 2025 edition.
