Short Description

We invite dancers who have relevant experience with Contact Improvisation to deepen their practice in a Research Laboratory on Contact Improvisation, Poetic Movement, and writing. The laboratory will take place in a studio situated in the village of Dealu-Mare, Cluj County, Romania: Ballet Studio.

For the Skin, flesh, bones, ideas professional & artistic development workshop & laboratory, we are looking for professional dancers and experienced amateurs who already work with Contact Improvisation and are also interested in the theory of dance.

Eligibility

The artistic practices experimented throughout the laboratory are: Contact Improvisation, Poetic Movement, and Writing. The laboratory will be held in English.

Submission Requirements

  • CV or a longer narrative Bio;
  • 3 minutes unedited video with you dancing Contact Improvisation (link to an unlisted YouTube/Vimeo video/transfer link);
  • a text of minimum 400 words with your thoughts on dance in English or Romanian (it can also be a text written previously).

  • 5 scholarship spots: each of the five participants will receive a participation scholarship of 2.500 ron gross (by copyright contract) + accommodation & food
