Short Description

Cornell University’s Department of Art is seeking a faculty member whose creative practice contributes to expanding imaginaries for social change. The position emphasizes preparing students for art-making in a diverse and inclusive world. Candidates should have an active exhibition record or other public artistic engagement and a strong interest in teaching. The position is open to various media and practices, with preference given to those supported by Cornell’s existing facilities.

The Fellowship is a year – long fellowship with a nine – month teaching responsibility , full – time position in the department relevant to the Fellow’s field and discipline of art and will be in located in Ithaca , New York . 

The role focuses on expanding artistic imaginaries for social change and fostering diversity and inclusion in art education.

 

Benefits: 

Salary: $65,000 annually.

Access to Facilities: Photography labs, print media, and fabrication shops.

Selection Process:

Based on teaching interest, public artistic engagement, and alignment with Cornell’s existing facilities.

Salary will be determined based on experience, education, and unique skills.
