Title & Description
Crib Point Pool Public Art Project (Mural)
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Crib Point Pool, Mornington Peninsula Shire is commissioning a site-specific mural on the exterior walls of the pool building. The mural will reflect and celebrate the Crib Point community — its people, stories, local character, and sense of place. The project invites experienced mural artists to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI), but at this stage, no concept proposal is required.

Additional Details
- The project celebrates 50 years of Crib Point Pool, so historical and community storytelling is encouraged in the artistic approach.
- The public-art brief does not require artists to provide concept sketches during EOI, which lowers the barrier to entry for experienced muralists.
- There is community consultation: local residents have been invited to share their ideas and themes (e.g., local history, nature, stories) that may shape the mural’s design.
- Intellectual property: the details of copyright, reproduction rights, and usage should be clarified in the detailed brief; generally, commissions like this involve licensing for public display and promotional uses, but artists should review the contract closely.
