CultureAndHealth Platform is a European initiative co-funded by the European Union and coordinated by Culture Action Europe (based in Brussels, Belgium). The Platform operates at the intersection of culture, arts, health, care, education, and social/community sectors to promote collaborative projects that use artistic practice to enhance wellbeing and health outcomes. It serves as a networking, advocacy, and funding facilitator for artists, cultural professionals, and cross-sector partners working to integrate cultural expression with health and social impact.
Title & Description
European Call for Projects in Culture and Health 2025-2026
This two-stage European call invites artists and artist collectives to propose collaborative projects that connect artistic practice with health, care, education, or social/community environments. The focus is on initiatives that contribute to individual and community well-being through creative engagement, participatory arts, arts in healthcare contexts, socially engaged art, residencies, performances, installations, or similar formats. Selected proposals will receive working grants to support project implementation from May 2026 through April 2027, with activities co-designed alongside partner organisations outside the cultural sector.

Eligibility
- Artists and artist collectives passionate about culture and health collaborations.
- Must collaborate with at least one partner organisation/institution outside of the cultural sector (such as care homes, hospitals, social NGOs, mental health services, educational or community organisations).
- Projects must be implemented in eligible countries across Europe including (but not limited to): Albania, Armenia, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Kosovo, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Tunisia, and Ukraine.
Program Benefits & Awards
- Working grants: Eight (8) grants of €8,000 each will be awarded to support project implementation.
- Projects receive financial backing timed for May 2026 – April 2027.
- Opportunity to expand practice in cross-disciplinary settings and enhance societal wellbeing through cultural and artistic engagement.
- Promotion and visibility via the CultureAndHealth Platform’s European network and communications.
- An online information session and recorded webinar to support applicants.

Application Requirements
Stage 1 – Expression of Interest:
- Draft project idea submitted through the official application form by the deadline.
- Provide proof of contact/interest with a partner organisation outside the cultural sector (e.g., email or documented outreach).
Stage 2 – Full Application (for shortlisted proposals):
- Detailed project proposal with methodology, implementation plan, and impact strategy.
- Signed Letter of Intent from the cooperating partner institution.
