CultureWorks X DVAA – Philadelphia Futures and Legacies
Overview:
Da Vinci Art Alliance (DVAA) and CultureWorks are partnering to host a five-month-long art exhibition, Philadelphia Futures and Legacies, at CultureWorks in Center City, Philadelphia. The exhibition runs from March 20 – July 29, 2025, and seeks artwork that explores the future and legacy of Philadelphia.
Eligibility:
Open to all artists in Philadelphia.
Artwork must relate to the theme Philadelphia Futures and Legacies.
Both 2-D and 3-D works of any medium are accepted.
Artwork must not exceed 36 inches on any side and must be ready to install.
How to Apply:
Submit up to five artworks per submission.
Label images with the artist’s last name (e.g., Smith_1).
Provide details for each artwork: title, date, medium, size, and artist’s name.
Submit through DVAA’s application process.
Submission Requirements:
Deadline: Friday, February 28, 2025, at 11:59 PM.
Fee: $15 for non-members; free for DVAA and CultureWorks members. Fee waivers are available for artists with financial need (email veronica@davinciartalliance.org).
All applicants will be notified by March 5, 2025.
Artwork Drop-Off & Pick-Up:
Drop-off: March 17 & 18 (10 AM – 5 PM) @ CultureWorks.
Pick-up: July 30 & 31 (10 AM – 5 PM) @ CultureWorks.
Selection Process:
Submissions will be reviewed based on how well they align with the theme. Selected artists will be notified by March 5, 2025.
Program Benefits:
A five-month-long exhibition in a central Philadelphia location.
Exposure through a collaboration between two established arts organizations.
No commission fees on sales.
