Curator at KW Institute for Contemporary Art
Short Description
KW Institute for Contemporary Art in Berlin is seeking a full-time Curator to lead the curatorial department for a 24-month term (May 1, 2025 – April 30, 2027). The curator will work closely with the Director to conceptualize and execute KW’s artistic program, focusing on exhibitions, commissions, public programs, and research. The role requires strong leadership, fundraising skills, and strategic planning to support KW’s mission in contemporary art.
Eligibility
Open to international applicants

Must have at least five years of experience in contemporary art institutions
Requires German and English fluency

Theme & Responsibilities
Develop and implement exhibition programs aligned with KW’s mission
Manage curatorial department and oversee exhibitions, commissions, and publications
Establish strategic plans on contemporary topics (e.g., environmental issues, sustainability, social realities)
Build relationships with artists, institutions, and research networks
Oversee program budgets, funding applications, and fundraising initiatives
Strengthen KW’s role in cultural and social engagement
