Located in Andore Village, Rajasthan, India, Farm Studio International Artist Residency is an independent, rural art center and community platform. Founded to foster cross-cultural dialogue and community-engaged creative practices, Farm Studio offers international and local artists a quiet, distraction-free environment to develop work while connecting deeply with the traditions, landscapes, and social fabric of rural Rajasthan.

Farm Studio International Artist Residency 2027 (Rajasthan, India) — Open Call for Submissions
Farm Studio has officially launched its open call for its 2027 Residency Sessions in rural Rajasthan, India. Offering three distinct working environments—indoor studio spaces, outdoor desert/farm landscapes, and the nearby village of Andore—the program invites creators across all disciplines to explore new ideas, engage in intercultural exchanges, and share their practice with the local community. The residency incorporates artist talks, presentations, work-in-progress showings, and a final group exhibition.
Residency Sessions & Timings (2027)
Applicants can select from three 25-day residency periods:
- October Session: October 3 – October 28, 2027
- November Session: November 3 – November 28, 2027
- December Session: December 3 – December 28, 2027

Eligibility
- Demographic Scope: Open unconditionally to emerging and established artists, researchers, curators, and critics of all nationalities and locations worldwide.
- Selection Basis: Evaluated on an ongoing, rolling basis subject to applicant motivation, work samples, and session availability.
Program Benefits & Included Services
- Lodging & Facilities: Private hut or private room equipped with bed, bedding, table, stool/chair, electricity, open landscape views, and shared/private bathrooms.
- Full Board Meals: Three vegetarian meals daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) plus complimentary chai available anytime on request.
- Studio & Workspaces: Access to indoor studios, outdoor farm and desert environments, and project sites within Andore Village, complete with work tables and basic tools.
- Exhibition & Cultural Programming: Group exhibition opportunity, artist talks, presentations, local sightseeing trips, and 24-hour on-site staff assistance.
- Institutional Support: Official invitation letters provided upon request to assist accepted artists in securing third-party grants or funding.
Fees & Expenses
- Application Fee: Free to apply ($0 submission fee).
- Residency Fee: Payable by accepted artists to cover room, full board, studios, and local programming (a non-refundable deposit is required upon acceptance to hold the spot).
- Artist Responsibilities: Artists are responsible for their own residency fee, personal art supplies, travel/airfare costs, Indian visa fees, personal entertainment outside the center, and medical/travel insurance.
