Brief Description:

Graniti Murales Artist Residency invites Italian and international artists to experience life in the small village of Graniti, Sicily. Participants create site-specific murals reflecting their creative expression and unique perspectives of Graniti’s culture and community.

Information and Application Details:

  • Duration: 2-4 weeks (recommended full 4 weeks).
  • Residency Dates: June 22, 2025 – July 19, 2025.
  • Application Deadline: February 15, 2025.
  • Fee: No general application fee, but artists with fewer than 3 murals of 12 sqm must pay €1,000 for mentorship.
  • How to Apply:

Eligibility:

  • Artists who can effectively communicate in English.
  • Valid visa for Italy during the residency period.
  • Health insurance coverage for their stay in Italy.
  • Completed at least 3 murals (minimum size 12 sqm).

Theme:

Artists are encouraged to create murals that blend their artistic vision with the cultural identity of Graniti.

  • Online application form.
  • CV and examples of previous work.
  • Video interviews may be part of the selection process.

Selection Process:

Applications are reviewed by a committee, followed by interviews. Selected artists are announced via Graniti Murales’ Facebook page.
