Organizer Information

The Gallery at Graphite is located within the Graphite Arts Center, a non-profit arts organization founded in 2022 in downtown Edmonds, WA. The gallery hosts contemporary exhibitions and promotes emerging and professional artists, providing a modern 760 sq. ft. space for curated shows. Since its opening, the gallery has hosted 22 exhibitions and is open to the public Fridays & Saturdays 12–5 PM and daily 4–8 PM via the Charcoal Restaurant entrance.

Graphite on Graphite – Juried Exhibition
The Gallery at Graphite invites artists to participate in Graphite on Graphite, a juried group exhibition celebrating works created with graphite or charcoal. The exhibition seeks 2D and 3D works in any medium, provided graphite or charcoal is a primary material. All subject matter is welcome. Works must be finished, well-executed, and professionally presented. The show emphasizes quality, adherence to submission guidelines, and overall exhibition balance. This exhibition provides artists with visibility in a contemporary gallery setting and the opportunity to sell their work to collectors.

Eligibility

  • Open to all artists aged 18 or older
  • Artists worldwide may submit
  • Work must be original and include graphite or charcoal
  • Submitted artwork must be available for the entire duration of the exhibition

Program Benefits & Awards

  • Selected works will be displayed in the Gallery at Graphite during the exhibition
  • Opportunities for art sales (artist receives 70%, gallery 30%)
  • Recognition through the gallery’s promotional channels

Application Fee

$20 for up to 3 artworks; Non-refundable, payable at time of submission

Application Requirements

  • Images of artwork in JPEG format (<2 MB), properly cropped, oriented, and labeled (LASTNAME_TITLE.jpg)
  • 2D works: Minimum framed dimension 16 in., maximum 48 in. (larger works may incur $15 additional fee)
  • 3D works: Pedestal display, max 50 lbs
  • Artist entry form completed online
  • Proper framing and presentation (wires required, no sawtooth hangers)
  • Artists may submit multiple works; all work must be for sale
