Art Scene West is a contemporary art gallery located in the Marina District of downtown San Diego, California. Through our calls for art, we feature artwork from local, national, and international artists, offering them the opportunity to showcase their visual art inside our carefully curated gallery. With a growing online presence and a impresssive physical gallery, Art Scene West is building a reputation as a unique and inclusive space for creativity and fine art.

Icons: Art for the Ages — International Call for Artists at Art Scene West
Icons: Art for the Ages invites artists to convey their own portrayals of the symbols, figures, emblems, places and trends that have left their mark in our collective society. This is an international art call where up to 20 artists will be selected to showcase with our San Diego art gallery, Art Scene West. With visitors coming from all over the world and across the nation to enjoy all that San Diego has to offer, this is a prestigious opportunity for emerging and established artists seeking gallery representation and potential sales. Artists will receive 60% of their sales commission, online promotion, and professional representation.
Category
We are seeking all mediums and styles in 2D and 3D forms for this exhibition. Selected artworks must relate to the theme and show an exceptional level of quality, passion, and care.
Eligibility
- International artists from anywhere in the world.
- Both emerging and established artists are encouraged to apply.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
Program Benefits
Participating Artists will benefit from Gallery Exposure in a professionally curated exhibition located in Seaport Village, a popular tourist shopping center in San Diego, CA. We will also feature the exhibition on our website indefinitely, as well as on our Social Media handles. Artists recieve a 60% sales commission.
Application Fee
The application fee is $35. If selected to participate and exhibit your artwork, there is a participation fee of $100.

Artists must submit their applications through the gallery's official submission portal.
Key Dates

- Notification Date: May 18th – 20th, 2026.
- Artwork Delivery: By June 5th, 2026.

The exhibition will take place in the Art Scene West gallery, located in San Diego California, at 803 W Harbor Dr, San Diego CA 92101. We will also publish this exhibition online at our website www.artscenewest.com, indefinitely, as well as on our instagram and facebook pages.
