Short Description
The International Bicycle Design Competition (IBDC), organized by the Cycling & Health Tech Industry R&D Center (CHC), has entered its 26th edition. Over the years, the competition has collected a total of
14,598 outstanding design submissions from 87 countries across five continents. It aims to help the
industry gather global user insights, design trends, and cross-disciplinary innovation in bicycle product
development.
In response to the growing trends of intelligent technology applications and sustainable circular
development in the bicycle industry, as well as to encourage riders to seek out joyful riding experiences and environmental harmony, the theme of the 26th IBDC is “Intelligence ．Sustainable ．Joyful Living.” The competition welcomes creative bicycle designs that reflect intelligent functionality, green sustainability, and a healthy, future-forward lifestyle—continuously injecting innovation into the industry.
Submission Requirements
- Must: Three or four images(Minimum three, Maximum four )
(1) Specification: JPEG format 、1920 width x 1080 height pixels、RGB conversion 、no larger than 2MB of single file size
(2) Please place the description on the images, and written in English.
(3) Rule of naming images: Name01~03/04(e.g. ibdcbike01 、ibdcbike02、ibdcbike03) - Optional: introduction video
- Fill in the Youtube link when applying
(1) Specification: Youtube video, within 1 minute, set “unlisted”
(2) Content suggestion (written in English only): to present the entry in more details (offer judges a better understanding of the entries and use of entry promotion if awarded), any personal information must not be shown in the video

Program Benefits & Awards
- The award ceremony of IBDC takes place at Taipei Int’l Cycle Show, which is the biggest cycle show in Asia. Each year, more than 1,000 companies and manufacturers, as well as over 50,000 visitors from over 30 countries, attend the show.
- Award-winning entries will be presented cash prize and a certificate to recognize designers’ great effort.
- Award-winning entries will be shown on a printed or digital preview, which will be published during Taipei Int’l Cycle Show. In addition, a presentation will be held, and the award result will be exposed in the media.
- Award-winning entries will be introduced to bicycle manufacturers to look for opportunities for entry-matching and commodification.
- Gold, silver, and bronze award-winning entries of the 26th IBDC are eligible to apply for the Golden Pin Concept Design Award 2026, and will automatically advance to the secondary selection.
