INVE Experimental Arts Platform opens the call for PRESENCE/PRESENCIA, a summer residency that invites you to pause, inhabit the present, and create from that place. A six-day immersive experience in a natural setting, designed for artists who work with the body as language and as territory—where the intimate and the collective intersect.
Throughout this intensive gathering, we will explore the body as a sensitive map, as living memory, as a poetic and political space. Each day begins with collective activations and unfolds through body exploration labs, personal creation time, one-on-one mentorships with the INVE team, horizontal exchanges, and moments of care and contemplation.
The residency is designed to support processes at various stages—research, exploration, transformation—and to incorporate other languages to integrate the journey, such as image, sound, or writing.
Each resident will be invited to connect with their own way of composing and expand their tools for research and embodied experience.
PRESENCE/PRESENCIA is also a pause, a space of care to imagine with others, to let the borders of the body be affected, to invent new origins along the path.
The residency includes:
- Accommodation in a country house based in a natural environment with a nearby river.
- 3 daily meals + fruit/water available throughout the day
- Personalized guidance
- Collective body and gesture poetics labs
- Creative practices adapted to each project
- Individual mentorships
PRESENCE/PRESENCIA is aimed at performers, movement-based artists, researchers, and curators who work with or wish to explore performance art through a critical lens.
It is an international residency for people over 18. A safe, inclusive space free from sexist attitudes, promoting community care.
