Short Description
The Kirchner Museum Davos is an internationally renowned art museum dedicated entirely to the work of Ernst Ludwig Kirchner. In the modern building by Gigon/Guyer, the museum blends into the alpine panorama of Davos and, in addition to changing special exhibitions on modernism and contemporary art, also offers a varied supporting programme with innovative formats.
Position & Tasks
- Organization of the loan traffic: Drafting and reviewing loan contracts, organising national and international art transports (including courier coordination and support) and handling all insurance-related matters.
- Exhibitions: Support for exhibition planning and close cooperation with the exhibition and museum technology departments, including coordination of set-up and dismantling work.
- Optional: Image rights and database maintenance. Processing of image rights requests as well as continuous maintenance and updating of the image database (MuseumPlus).
Who Can Apply?
- Degree in museology, art history or comparable training
- Experience in the field of registry/collection management
- Sound knowledge of the use of MuseumPlus or comparable database systems
- Very good communication skills in German and English (spoken and written)
- High level of independence, good organizational and coordination skills
- Flexibility and resilience, readiness for occasional evening and weekend assignments
