Short Description
This prize is awarded by Energie AG Oberösterreich in cooperation with OÖ Landes-Kultur GmbH. It carries a prize money of 4,000 euros and is awarded by an independent jury of experts. The prize is awarded in memory of the important Upper Austrian draftsman Klemens Brosch (1894–1926). The aim of the prize is to highlight drawing as an important medium in contemporary art. It is specifically aimed at young artists and is intended to promote and recognize outstanding contemporary achievements in the field of drawing.
Eligibility
- Anyone up to the age of 40 (born in 1985 or later) who is either from Austria or has had their permanent residence and center of life interests here for at least four years can apply for the Klemens Brosch Prize.
- If proof of childcare is provided, the age limit is increased to 45 years. Three years per child, with a maximum of five years.
- Any application is subject to exclusion of legal recourse.
- No liability can be assumed for submitted works. Applications for the Klemens Brosch Prize will be reviewed by an independent jury of experts, who will then submit a proposal to Energie AG. The prize will be awarded during a ceremony at Energie AG’s premises. The winning works will be presented in an exhibition at Energie AG.
- Participants agree to make some of their works available for the annual exhibition at Energie AG’s Power Tower. By submitting their work, participants also acknowledge that Energie AG will not pay any additional fees for the exhibition other than the prize money.
