We are pleased that you are interested in a scholarship from the Art Foundation and wish you every success with your application.
The application should be made by the artist himself. Permanent artists can only apply if they take a leave of absence for at least six months when a scholarship is awarded (proof required). This does not apply to employment of less than 20 hours per week. Applications can only be submitted via the online form of the Art Foundation. A total of three application attempts are possible per applicant. Anyone who has already received a scholarship from the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg cannot apply again. Double applications to the Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg and Akademie Schloss Solitude in the same year are not possible.
Eligibility
The Kunststiftung Baden-Württemberg supports artists in the fields of visual arts, music, literature and performing arts. Artists who have completed their studies no longer than ten years ago from the date of application can apply. This applies to the areas of fine arts (graduates of state art academies and academies), literature (graduates of a university), performing arts (after training). Musicians can also apply during their studies.
Applicants must have their primary residence or focus of work in Baden-Württemberg or have spent a significant part of their biography in Baden-Württemberg that is decisive for their artistic work. German citizenship is not mandatory. When the jury decides on funding, only the applicant’s talent is taken into account.
