Short Description
This year, the Hanseatic City of Buxtehude is announcing the KunSTück Buxtehude competition for the third time and invites artists from the entire Hamburg Metropolitan Region to participate.
Theme: Friendship and Solidarity
In addition, the submitted concept idea must show a connection to the Hamburg Metropolitan Region. The goal is also for the award winner to realize, install, or otherwise stage the work in Buxtehude.
Eligibility
Eligible to participate are artists residing in the Hamburg Metropolitan Region who have a consistent record of exhibitions, engage in artistic work in public spaces, or have completed or are currently pursuing a degree in art. All forms of visual art are permitted.
Submission Requirements
A fully completed and signed application form
Project outline: A short description of the planned project to be realized during the funding period (maximum one A4 page)
Visual materials: Photographs, sketches, collages, videos, or similar to visually illustrate/accompany the project outline (maximum two A4 pages)
Curriculum vitae, including a list of previous and current projects/exhibitions, along with images of already completed works

Program Benefits & Awards
The winning concept will be awarded a prize of €2,000.
In addition, the Hanseatic City of Buxtehude will support the implementation of the idea with up to €10,000. A later acquisition of the work is also not ruled out.
The prizewinner will also have the opportunity to present their work, for example in the form of an exhibition.
The competition is supported by Sparkasse Harburg-Buxtehude and the cultural sponsors Sibylle Bruns-Decker and Michael Bruns.
