Description LAGI 2025 Fiji is a global design competition inviting participants to create artistic, landscape-integrated solutions that provide sustainable electricity and drinking water to Marou Village, a coastal community in Fiji’s Yasawa archipelago. This initiative aims to support 67 households, enhance local tourism, and set a precedent for resilient infrastructure in vulnerable island communities facing climate change. Information & Application Details Competition Opens: January 6, 2025 Submission Deadline: May 5, 2025 Total Awards: $200,000 USD Winning Teams: Two selected teams will each receive $100,000 USD to develop their designs and build a working prototype in Fiji. Additional Recognition: Selected entries will be published in a full-color book and exhibited throughout Fiji. Eligibility Open to designers, architects, engineers, artists, and innovators worldwide. Teams or individuals may apply. Proposals must integrate energy and water systems in an artistic and functional manner. Theme Participants must design a landscape-based artwork that generates clean energy and potable water while harmonizing with Marou Village’s environment and culture.
