Short Description The LensCulture Portrait Awards, now in their 12th year, celebrate exceptional portrait photography by rewarding 35+ photographers worldwide. Our past winners have gone on to be featured in leading magazines, museums, galleries and publications. Selected works will be showcased at our New York exhibition, with winners chosen by industry-leading jurors.   We welcome all approaches to portraiture—from classic to experimental. Submit your work to be recognized among photography's most innovative voices.   Eligibility The competition is open to all photographers over the age of 18.   Program Benefits or Awards The winners of this year’s awards will be featured at the LensCulture Discoveries exhibition in New York City. Winners also receive extensive global media coverage, projection at several international photography festivals, cash prizes, and more. Our esteemed jurors are seeking compelling portraits, so don’t miss this opportunity to have your work seen — and chosen — by some of the most respected names in the industry.   An opening reception will be held for LensCulture artists, invited media, photo editors and industry insiders for a night of art appreciation and networking.   Series prize winners 1st Place: $3,500 2nd Place: $2,000 3rd Place: $1,000   Single image prize winners 1st Place: $2,000 2nd Place: $1,000 3rd Place: $500   Jurors’ Picks Each juror will select an individual Juror’s Pick to receive special distinction, including quotes from the experts praising each of the selected series or single images.   Finalists 25 Finalists and their work will be highlighted and featured on the winners’ page, and in the worldwide promotions, along with the Winners and Jurors’ Picks.     Entry Fee:   Single Images Limited to one free entry per person. $10 for each additional photograph. 5 images are $35.   5+ Single Images 5 single image entries, judged individually (not as a series). $10 for each additional photograph.
