Located in the vibrant Neukölln art district of Berlin, Germany, LiTE-HAUS Galerie + Kultur-Project Space is an independent, non-profit cultural initiative and gallery. Founded to foster cross-cultural dialogue, environmental awareness, and artistic experimentation, LiTE-HAUS connects local Berlin creators with an international network of visual artists through curated exhibitions, collaborative workshops, and self-guided studio residencies.

LiTE-HAUS November Artist Residency in Berlin: Open Call

LiTE-HAUS has launched its open call for the November 2026 Artist Residency in the heart of Berlin's art scene. Designed as a self-guided intensive program, the residency offers visual artists an environment to refine their creative voice, gain practical insights into the inner operations of non-profit project spaces, and connect directly with local gallerists and fellow creators. Conducting all programming in English, the 3-week residency provides artists with workstations, ongoing feedback, and team guidance. The program culminates in a group exhibition alongside local Berlin-based artists.

The call accepts All Visual Art Forms & Disciplines (Painting, Drawing, Photography, Sculpture, Installation, Mixed Media, Video, and Interdisciplinary Arts).

Eligibility

  • Career Stage & Age: Open to creators of all ages and experience levels, ranging from current art students to established professionals.
  • Geographic Scope: Open unconditionally to local Berlin residents, national German artists, and international creators globally.
  • Language Requirement: All mentorship, critiques, and program communications are conducted in English.

Program Benefits & Support

  • Studio & Workstations: Access to dedicated work stations within LiTE-HAUS or self-guided off-site work arrangements.
  • Mentorship & Networking: Professional critiques, team leadership guidance, and curated introductions to Berlin art professionals.
  • Group Exhibition Showcase: Opportunity to participate in a curated group exhibition (Vernissage opening night) alongside local Berlin artists from November 19 to November 21, 2026.
  • Accommodation Option: Private live/work studio rooms available on-site (converted into exhibition spaces at the end of the term).

Application Fee & Program Costs

  • Application Fee: 100% free to apply (€0 entry fee).
  • Program Tier Costs:
    • Berlin Local Artists: €600 EUR (€300 non-refundable deposit due October 2).
    • International / Non-Local Artists (No Lodging): €800 EUR (€400 non-refundable deposit due October 2).
    • International Artists (With On-Site Lodging): €1,800 EUR (€900 non-refundable deposit due October 2; includes private live/work bedroom with shared kitchen and bath).

Note: Final fee balances are due by October 26, 2026. Travel and daily living expenses remain the artist's responsibility.

How to Apply

Complete the online registration form via Google Forms. Applications are evaluated on a rolling basis, so early submission is strongly encouraged.
