Louisiana Tech University School of Design is a renowned educational institution fostering innovation, research, and professional development in the arts. The School of Design regularly organizes exhibitions, juried competitions, and educational programs to highlight contemporary artistic practices and provide professional opportunities for emerging and established artists. The Louisiana Biennial is one of its key initiatives, offering national exposure and a curated platform for diverse 2D, 3D, and video works.

8th Louisiana Biennial: National Juried Exhibition (3 Submissions)
The 8th Louisiana Biennial is a national juried exhibition inviting U.S.-based artists to submit original 2D, 3D, and video artworks exploring any theme. The 2025 juror is Bridget Bray, an independent curator based in Houston, TX, with extensive experience in contemporary art curation, including leadership roles at the Asia Society Texas and USC’s Pacific Asia Museum. This exhibition provides a platform for artists to gain recognition, professional exposure, and the opportunity to have their work featured in a university setting.

Eligibility
- Open to artists residing in the United States
- 18 years or older
- Artists must have created and submitted work within the past 5 years.
- Work must be ready to exhibit, with installation hardware provided by the artist. Unusual installations must be approved. Video works require at least 1920 x 1080 resolution. Maximum dimensions: 120” width x 84” height; 2D ≤50 lbs, 3D ≤100 lbs.

- Best in Show: $500 + solo exhibition at Louisiana Tech University (2026/2027)
- Juror’s Choice: $300
- Two Honorable Mentions: $100 each
- Exhibition Exposure: Selected artists’ works displayed in a prominent university setting and featured in press and online promotion.

- $30 for 1–3 works
- $35 for 4–5 works
Application Requirements
- Portfolio images or video files following SlideRoom specifications (JPG, PNG, GIF, TIF, BMP, TGA; MP4, MOV, M4V, WMV, FLV, etc.)
- Artist statement or project description
- Resume/CV
- Work dimensions and monetary value for insurance purposes
- Signed Exhibition Contract upon acceptance
- Optional: Multiple views merged in one file or linked media (Vimeo, YouTube, SoundCloud)
