Short Description
Akademie Schloss Solitude invites particularly talented young dramaturgs from German-speaking countries to apply for the Marie Zimmermann Fellowship in order to further develop their work, try out new ideas and exchange ideas with artists and scientists from other disciplines in an international environment. The aim of the scholarship is to promote dramaturgical research and reflection, to initiate new projects and to create space for transdisciplinary encounters.
The Marie Zimmermann Scholarship is the only artist-in-residence scholarship for German-speaking dramaturges. It was founded in 2008 by Akademie Schloss Solitude and director Friedrich Schirmer in memory of the dramaturge and festival organizer Marie Zimmermann and has been funded by the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Science, Research and the Arts since 2019.
Eligibility
German-speaking dramaturgs up to the age of 40 who are interested in artistic research, experimental thinking and interdisciplinary exchange can apply.
