Short Description
Metron is an independent service provider specializing in the fields of architecture, spatial development, transportation, landscape, and environmental planning. With approximately 173 employees across three locations in Brugg, Bern, and Zurich, Metron was founded in 1965 on the belief that holistic solutions require intensive interdisciplinary collaboration.
The Metron Sponsorship Award gives artists and cultural workers an incentive to realize an innovative and future-oriented project. The award is intended to act as a catalyst and support them in putting their ideas and plans into practice.
Since its founding, Metron has nurtured relationships with artists and supported cultural projects. This commitment includes the Metron Förderpreis, the company’s in-house art collection, the concert series “Mittagsmusik am Gleis 1” (“Lunchtime Music at Track 1”), and the “Brutkasten” (“Incubator”)—a small exhibition vitrine near the main entrance in Brugg featuring biannually rotating art installations.

Program Benefits & Awards
The Metron Sponsorship Award offers cultural professionals an incentive to create an innovative, future-oriented project. The prize is endowed with CHF 10,000 and is awarded annually. The submission is open to all cultural sectors.
