Narva Art Residency (NART) is an international artist-in-residence program located on the Estonian-Russian border, in the historic villa originally built for the director of the Kreenholm Textile Manufacture. NART supports creative exchange across disciplines and fosters connections between international artists and the local community.

NART invites artists and creatives from all disciplines to apply for its 2026 residency program in Narva, Estonia. The program emphasizes interactive, socially engaged, and community-based projects that build meaningful connections with local communities. Artists are encouraged to integrate engagement directly into their artmaking process, with opportunities to propose exhibitions or events in NART’s gallery spaces.

Eligibility

Costs/Funding

  • Free private accommodation, common workspaces, shared kitchen, and washing facilities provided
  • Free access to Kreenholm factory spaces, bicycles (in warmer months), and a small boat
  • No stipend or production funding (artists cover their own travel, production, and living costs)
  • Letters of confirmation available for external funding applications
